Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born November 18th, 1985 in Los Angeles. Felix's father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix displayed a knack for athletics early on discovering her athletic abilities when she was a student at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships after only 10 weeks, after her very first tryout. Felix was a high school graduate when she graduated from school in 2003 signed an athletic contract with Adidas. She later attended in the University of Southern California and was a teacher in the elementary school. One year later Felix won her debut Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece and set an all-time junior world record taking 200 metres within 22.18 seconds. She became the youngest world champion in the 200m at the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007, beating the long-time Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix was a participant at the Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo consistently placing within the top 3 in all her events.
