Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born November 18, 1985, in Los Angeles. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained Minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix showed a flair in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her talent for sprinting during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished third in the 200 meters at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed high school in 2003 and signed with Adidas a contract as professional athlete. The following year she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. The following year, Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting a junior world record by sprinting 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest participant in the 200 meter at the World Championships in Helsinki in the year 2005. She was able to defend her record the following year, by beating time-tested Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top three in all of her events in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
